After several play-throughs, I've finally decided that I can't for the life of me figure out why this game got mixed reviews.

It's beautiful, first of all. The characters are all gorgeous, and while I didn't get quite as attached to the Majini as I did the Ganados, I felt a stronger bond with the main characters. They kept a lot of the gameplay elements from RE:4 that just plain -worked- and got rid of a lot of things that didn't.

Well, aside from interactive cutscenes, I'm still not a huge fan of those.

Plus, Chris Redfield is just -stunning.- His character design, his attitude...there's nothing about him that isn't wonderful. I can't wait for the new content to come out this spring--more Jill! I've missed her.

HM had some trouble with her save file the other day, though--and if anyone else has had this problem, I'd like to get your take on it. It seems to be spread across both the Xbox and the PS3, as well as the PC, our platform of choice--the save file was corrupted--for no evident reason. She simply logged back in and was told it couldn't be loaded. We managed to restore it to a playable point, but there is thus far no solution as far as I can tell. Has anyone had this problem on any of the other systems?

Here's the gist of it.

First and foremost, the TF2 war is over, and it was a killer close race. I'm looking forward to seeing the results, but am holding out for the Demoman's victory. I'm still hoping to see Meet the Medic or Meet the Pyro tonight, but the logical side of me knows this will likely not happen. Oh, well.

Next, Chris Henry. Where do I start? Just when he started to get his shit together, Cincinnati Bengals Receiver Chris Henry fell out of the back of a pickup truck (last I checked, they're saying it involved a domestic dispute with his fiance) and died this morning due to his injuries. After all he's come through, and after all the Bengals have done this season, this is really heartbreaking for a lot of fans (myself included) in this area. Mr. Henry, Rest in Peace, and my regards go out to his family, friends, and his team.

Lastly, pictures have surfaced of Ellis of L4D2 holding a puppy and enjoying a meal.
